🌟 Introduction
Among the bravest figures in Islamic history stands Hazrat Hamza ibn Abdul Muttalib (R.A.), the uncle of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and one of the earliest Muslims. Known as Asadullah — the Lion of Allah, his courage and sacrifice made him a timeless symbol of strength.
🧬 His Noble Lineage
Hazrat Hamza (R.A.) was the son of Abdul Muttalib and the Prophet’s uncle. They were also foster brothers through Thuwaybah. Admired in Makkah for his strength, hunting skills, and fearless nature, Hamza was respected even before Islam.
🌙 The Turning Point – Embracing Islam
When Abu Jahl insulted the Prophet ﷺ, Hazrat Hamza (R.A.) returned from hunting and struck him with his bow, declaring:
That moment, he accepted Islam openly and became one of its strongest protectors.
⚔️ The Lion of Allah in Battle
🏹 Battle of Badr
He wore an ostrich feather for identification and fought with unmatched bravery. Even the Quraysh feared the name of Hamza.
🗡️ Battle of Uhud
He defended the Prophet ﷺ until he was martyred by the spear of Wahshi ibn Harb. His death shook the Muslim community deeply.
💔 The Martyrdom
When the Prophet ﷺ saw Hamza’s body, he wept. Despite the wounds, Hamza’s face radiated peace. He was given the title:
