π The Beloved Companion π
Hazrat Zayd bin Harisah (R.A) – The Son of Love and Loyalty
In the golden pages of Islamic history, the name Hazrat Zayd bin Harisah (R.A) shines with unmatched devotion and love. He was not only a companion of the Prophet Muhammad ο·Ί but also a man whose life defined loyalty, faith, and sacrifice. π
Born in Arabia, Zayd (R.A) was captured in his youth and sold into slavery. Through Allah’s plan, he came into the care of Khadijah (R.A), who later gifted him to the Prophet Muhammad ο·Ί. The Prophet freed Zayd and treated him like his own son — so much so that he became known as Zayd ibn Muhammad (Zayd, the son of Muhammad) before the revelation came forbidding adoption by name. π
“He is my son and I am his father.” – Prophet Muhammad ο·Ί (before revelation)
When Zayd’s real father and uncle found him and offered to take him back, Zayd (R.A) said with tears of love, “I will never leave the Messenger of Allah ο·Ί. To me, he is both father and home.” ❤️
This deep bond made Zayd (R.A) one of the closest companions of the Prophet ο·Ί. He was known for his pure heart, bravery, and humility. The Prophet ο·Ί loved him so much that people called him “The Beloved of Allah’s Messenger.”
When the Muslims needed a commander for the Battle of Mu’tah, the Prophet ο·Ί appointed Zayd (R.A) as the leader — even though great companions like Ja’far ibn Abi Talib and Khalid ibn al-Walid were present. This showed his high rank in the eyes of the Prophet ο·Ί. ⚔️
“If Zayd is martyred, then Ja’far shall lead. If Ja’far falls, then Abdullah ibn Rawahah will take command.” – Prophet Muhammad ο·Ί
In the fierce Battle of Mu’tah, Zayd (R.A) fought with unshakable courage, holding the flag of Islam until his last breath. He fell as a martyr, becoming one of the earliest commanders to give his life for the cause of Allah. πΉ
The Prophet ο·Ί wept deeply when he received the news — not just as a leader who lost a soldier, but as a father who lost his son in faith. The tears of the Prophet ο·Ί that day were tears of love and remembrance for his loyal companion, Hazrat Zayd bin Harisah (R.A).
His life reminds us that true love and faith go beyond blood — they live in the heart. He was a slave who became free, a servant who became family, and a warrior who became a legend of Islam. πΏ
