Hazrat zayd ibn haritha ( R.A)
Hazrat Zayd ibn Haritha (R.A.) was among the earliest and most beloved Companions of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. As a child he faced separation from his parents and was brought into the household of the Prophet ﷺ, where he was freed and treated with unmatched love and respect.
Because of his closeness, he was known among people as *Zayd ibn Muhammad* before the Islamic ruling changed.
Zayd (R.A.) holds a unique honor — he is the *only* Companion whose name appears directly in the Qur’an. This reflects his importance and high status in Islam.
“When Allah honored Zayd by naming him in the Qur'an, his rank became clear to the Ummah.”
Zayd (R.A.) was one of the first people to accept Islam. His faith, loyalty, and dedication to the Prophet ﷺ were exceptional. He supported the Prophet ﷺ from the very beginning, during the hardest early years.
“When a heart is filled with faith, obedience becomes a natural path.”
The Prophet ﷺ entrusted Zayd (R.A.) with leadership responsibilities that reflected his wisdom and courage. He was appointed commander in several important battles.
In the Battle of Mu’tah, he led the Muslim army with unmatched bravery and attained martyrdom on the battlefield.
“A martyr never dies — he lives eternally in honor and reward.”
Zayd ibn Haritha (R.A.) is remembered as a symbol of devotion, loyalty, and love for the Prophet ﷺ. His son, Usama ibn Zayd (R.A.), continued his legacy as a respected commander and Companion.
